Your Mom

Mother’s Day is this Sunday. To honor my mom, who now reads my blog, I’ve come up with a list of things my mother has taught me:

Wear pretty underwear, even if you’re the only person who’ll see them.
Shop for sales.
Let God be in charge of your destiny.
Take pride in a delicious meal prepared for the ones you love.
Be nice to your siblings.
Don’t wear your hair in a ponytail every day.
When people are mean to you, kill them with kindness.
Never underestimate the relaxing power of a margarita.
A relationship with Christ is they key to a successful marriage.
Keep your toenails painted.
Good manners never go out of style.
It’s okay to play hooky every now and then.
Cook with olive oil.
Treasure your family.
Read the funny papers first.
Start off your day with a good cup of coffee.
You can be anything you want to be- don’t ever let anyone else tell you otherwise.

The title of my blog today as also for my mom. I have single handedly kept the phrase "Your Mom" alive... it just never loses it's humor to me. Anyhow, every time I say that, my mom gives me a funny look and says "What?!"
