Friday Ponderings

We had cuts for our competition routines this morning. I hate cuts. My natural instinct is to let everybody be in the dance, but then I know we have to compete against other squads that will be performing their best dancers, so… I think I’m going to end up being one of those moms that lets her kids do anything they want so I don’t have to tell them no.

Have I mentioned that I have a ridiculous obsession with pleasing people? Yep, I’m a people-pleaser. Don’t get mad at me, cause you’ll make me a nervous wreck. And I hate, hate, hate to make sweet, little tween girls cry.

Christmas decorations are expensive! (As Lauren noted previously). But seriously; my first year of decorating for Christmas is going to be moderate (for a former Pense, anyway) but even a couple swags of greenery and some faux poinsettias set me back about $75!

I’m glad Bryan doesn’t read this.

I’m also glad it’s Friday. I’m going to the TU game with Bryan tomorrow, and I’m dog-sitting my little Louie-baby.

By the way, Thanksgiving is fast approaching! For our little feast-y, I’m making:
1. French bread stuffing with oysters
2. Mashed potatoes
3. Creamed corn

I’m sure I’ll make a couple other things, and I’m sous chef-ing the turkey.

And that’s all I have to ponder. I’ll leave you with this- I had a really negative attitude earlier today, and prayed over it. The Lord answered my prayer, and I’m grateful. Have a blessed weekend!
