Happy Monday... we're almost halfway through the month of January. I don't really care for January. It's depressing to take down the Christmas decorations and know you won't have another vacation of that length for a year. Also, it's very cold outside and my skin gets dry. Wah.
I do, however, love February. It's Valentine's month, for Pete's sake. That's right- Valentine's month.
I made gravy again this weekend-successfully, I might add. Last time I tried making gravy, I used low-fat turkey sausage, which left absolutely no grease in the pan. It's difficult to make gravy with no grease. Sunday morning, I cooked a pound of bacon, which left me with plenty of fat for my gravy. Doesn't that sound yummy? I think once you make gravy, you'll never eat more than two tablespoons of it at a time ever again. Because you're eating fat mixed with flour.
I'm getting really impatient about this puppy thing. I've waited ten months now. I've started researching puppy kindergartens, and on Sunday, I bought Puppies for Dummies. After all, I've never potty trained a dog. But I want one. Bryan, ever the voice of reason in our household, says I have to wait until drill team is over in March to get one. Party pooper.
Have a lovely, cold winter day.
