A month or so ago, I observed that for toddlers and parents of toddlers, the world is All About Potty. Or really, it’s All About Pooping. I thought this was so strange- centering your life, activity and conversation around a successfully executed poop.

But now… I understand everything. On Wednesday, I had a lengthy conversation with our vet about whether or not we should be concerned that Tino hadn’t pooped yet. He said no, but my motherly instinct said no poo in three days? Not good. That afternoon, Tino passed a little gas and I actually called Bryan to tell him the good news.

When I went home during lunch yesterday, Tino had successfully pooped in his kennel. Now, this is something that a dog owner would usually be unhappy about, but I was so relieved! And really, the poor little guy can’t help it. I have to take him outside on his leash to pee-pee, and he goes lickety-split. But how would you like to do number two on command with an audience? So for the next month, the little dude will probably end up going in his crate, which I’m sure will form all sorts of horrible life-long habits.

Anyway, I take him to the vet this morning for a check up to see how the bone is healing. I’ve got to put up some pictures of him in his peanut shell. It’s just too funny.

Now that I’m a “mommy,” the other parts of my life seem less important to blog about, but there’s still lot’s going on. Bryan takes the LSAT this weekend, The Great Gatsby starts next week, etc.

And it’s Friday. Praise the Lord. Have a great weekend, all!
