It appears that all my technology at work is actually working. So here I sit at my big desk in my big office... blogging. When you work alone with no distractions, surely blogging is permissible, right?

Bryan and I rented a good movie last night: The Orphanage. It's by Guillermo del Toro, the director of one of my favorite movies ever, Pan's Labyrinth. Anyhow, Bryan wasn't all that thrilled to rent it because a.) It's in Spanish with English subtitles and b.) the preview made it look absurdly creepy. I had read I lot of good reviews for it, so we rented anyway. While it is a touch creepy, it's also visually stunning and very moving. I recommend!

Things didn't go so well last night with Mr. Tino. I fell asleep with him in our bed the last two nights in a row (and for some reason, if he's already asleep in our bed, Bryan won't put him into his crate...) so the whole sleeping in the crate thing was torture anew last night. He cried and cried and cried. For four hours. I woke up at about 3:30 am to this pitiful snuffling sound- like Tino had cried himself hoarse. I couldn't stand it, so I went into Bryan's office and let the poor fellow out. He rubbed his little face on mine as though he hadn't seen me in months and needed to get my smell back in his memory.

Anyway, I carried him back in our room and asked Bryan if he wanted me to sleep on the couch with the little guy. Bryan sighed, scooted over and let Tino curl up on the pillows between us. He fell asleep instantly. Needless to say, the matter of The Dog Sleeping in the Bed is not settled. To be continued tonight, I assume.

Well... happy Wednesday! Seven work days til vacation!!

Hopefully Bryan caves in soon. Scott only lasted 1 night with the whole no dog in the bed rule.

Consider this a warm up for when kids come along - you'll go through this all again, but their little faces will be even more irresistible! :-)
