Impromptu Furniture Shopping

Last weekend, for no particular reason, Bryan and I decided to get a few things for the apartment. I started with a trip to Hobby Lobby to look for something to create a head board. See, we saw this cool idea on HGTV: one of the designers created a headboard out of some metal wall sculptures from a craft store for the bargain price of $35. So I bought three metal wall thingies and we made this:

Tino wanted to be Vanna White for all my pictures, by the way.

While I was at Hobby Lobby, I noticed that almost everything in the store was 50% off. So, I drug Bryan back with me on Saturday. We bought a tiny dresser for 75% off and a mirror:

Then, pleased with our new acquisitions, we decided to go and look for cheap futons. We went to a few furniture stores, and reluctantly headed to Super Wal-Mart when we couldn't find anything sufficiently cheapo. There, we found this:

Now, when people visit us, they won't have to sleep on the couch! Hurray! And with that, the apartment is complete. And Tino has a new sleeping surface.

I love it!! I watch HGTV all day and get tons of ideas for our house. I also LOVE Hobby Lobby. I've found lots of things I want there for our new house. I also love it that they put their things on sale all the time. I'm proud of your decorating!
