I'll tell you what-this has been one long, crazy week. So, after we didn't get the house, we talked to our mortgage person about what kinds of houses we wanted to look at now... and she advised us to sell our cars (since Bryan has a company car) and get a new one with a lower monthly payment. So, before we can buy a house, we need to buy a car? That's right. And even though you might think dealerships are practically giving cars away right now, much to my disappointment, they're not giving away black 2009 Honda CRVs. So tomorrow, I'm going back to test drive a nice, serviceable Honda Civic. With a high resale value and good fuel economy.
I'm very tired of salespeople. Homes, cars... all of it. I just want to say "Look people- you need to sell this house (or car) and I need to buy one. Let's just cut through the crap. Do you want my consumer dollar or should I take my business elsewhere?"
I realize I sound kind of grumpy... that may be because it's 1:00 a.m. and I'm looking at amortization tables.
The good news is that it's the weekend!!! Hurray.

I'm sorry, Deb. All that stuff can be very frustrating. It will all work out soon!
Civics are great cars! I debated between a CR-V and a Civic last year, too. I may be slightly biased....but you can't go wrong: )
Deb...I know it is crazy, the house buying process is nuts. It will work out for you guys---don't give up!
I agree with Jessica and Jen!! It will all work out.
Love you.
