Hello, 2009! Bryan and I spent the last four days cleaning and feathering our nest, so to speak. After I took down my Christmas decor, it became painfully obvious that I hadn't really done anything to decorate the house in a more permanent fashion. We still need window treatments in every other room but the office, so we researched wood blinds, and I picked some curtains for my dining area online. I haven't ordered them yet, but those are the ones I want. We also finally found a bedspread we could agree on (not too feminine and not too masculine), so we've got a start on the master bedroom. We also picked out a couple of prints that I'm going to have framed today. That was another difficult decision... This decorating thing is difficult. I'm sure it would be much easier if I had a designer and a giant budget, but alas, I must rely on creativity and sales. I'm sure it builds character.

The most fun part about our long weekend was that we spent the time together- no company, no obligations, nothing but each other. It was refreshing and restorative. We cooked together, played Monopoly, cleaned, watched TV... did anyone watch Superstars of Dance last night? We even watched that together.

So, we started 2009 rested and ready to go. Hope you did too! Have a good one!
