Well, today's the big OU game... Bryan bought me my first OU shirt at Walmart last night and I wore it to work today. Me and everyone else in OKC. When it comes to football, I generally root for whatever team Bryan likes, and he likes the Dallas Cowboys and OU. After one year of marriage, I liked the Dallas Cowboys too, but I mostly want OU to do well just so the good ol' state of Oklahoma looks good. And so my husband won't be depressed.
Speaking of depressed, January's kind of a bummer of a month, no? Even so, I've been surprisingly energetic this week. It felt good to return to work and the normal swing of things. We had Switch last night for the first time in 2009, and it was great to see everyone. We served the students communion, which felt like a great act of worship and commitment to start the year off with.
So, the boots Bryan got me for Christmas arrived via UPS Monday night. He bought them for me mainly because he heard Mom and Beth and I talking about how they're The Big Trend right now, and I guess he wanted to spoil me a little bit. But folks, these are honestly the most comfortable darn shoes I've ever worn in my life! They're like warm hugs on your feet and ankles. And, you're not supposed to wear socks with them (bonus for me!), but it feels like you're wearing socks made of cashmere or something. De-lightful!
I suppose those are all the random thoughts I have for today. Have a good one!
