Everyday, I go outside and spend a little quality time with my rose bushes: New Day, Miss All American Beauty, Angel Face and Mr. Lincoln. They are my first successful gardening venture ever. New Day has grown some leaves, but hasn't made the same progress as Beauty or Angel Face. I planted Mr. Lincoln a full month after the girls, so he still looks dead. He's my bush with special needs.
Anyhow, all week, I've watched and counted the buds on my prolific girls. Beauty had three buds on Monday, and yesterday evening, two had bloomed into giant, fragrant roses. Angel, however, had an amazing eleven buds on Monday, and all week I've waited anxiously for them to bloom. See, I'm going to be gone for a full seven days on vacation, and it made me so sad to think that I'd miss her first bloom. I checked her this morning, and she's still being very coy with her buds. So, the random birds and bugs in my yard will get to enjoy this next week. And I will not.
Other than that, I am ready, ready, ready for the beach! I'm going to try not to blog or check emails while I'm gone because I think I spend way too much time on the computer. I'm going to attempt to unplug!
Have a wonderful week!

It's always bad to have a bush with needs! :-)
