Times, They Are A-Changing!

I'm long over due for a blog post, and I need to update all my friends and family about some new developments in my life, so here you go! First up, I start a new job in June! After several months of my current job being up-in-the-air, I started praying that God would open up a new work opportunity for me. I considered several options, including moving back to Tulsa to continue working at the Ballet or taking a director position at a social services agency. In the end, a wonderful job opened up right here in Edmond! I'm going to be working in development for the College of Fine Arts and Design at UCO!

Now, most of you know how much I dislike change, and I am admittedly very sad to leave behind an organization and people that I care so much about. I have been with the Ballet for going on five years, and it will always hold a very special place in my heart! I know without a doubt, though, that this is the direction that God is pointing me toward. My position at UCO is new, so exactly what I'll be doing is yet to be determined, but I know that I'll be fundraising for the arts, and my new boss and co-workers seem absolutely wonderful. I also just found out that I will get to do some traveling as part of my job, so I will probably be going to New York again sometime in the winter of 2011 and I am going to be headed to Dartmouth in July for training in fundraising at the university level!

I am very excited about these new adventures and I'm sure they will provide lots of fodder for the blog! I am also very grateful to Bryan and my family and friends for praying faithfully for God to provide a job for me and for imparting endless wisdom and advice.

So now that my big news is out, I will also share that Bryan finished his MBA last week! We had a fun graduation barbecue with our family and friends to celebrate. We're both really looking forward to a calm summer of cooking out, laying out by the pool and taking it easy.

I think that about catches you up! Stay tuned for more information about my new adventures, and thanks for reading!
