I got the shoes! And they are smokin' hot. Love them.
Bryan and I tried our the panini grill last night. I. love. paninis. The gooey cheesy goodness made me feel like I'm eating a gourmet pizza. I think that it's safe to say we'll be using that kitchen appliance frequently.
I watched a really profound movie last night; Children of Men. It was the kind of movie that made me want to drink coffee and discuss the plot and symbolism with someone. The use of animals in the movie was incredibly touching. In the movie, pets had come to replace children as the women of the world became infertile. There were animals everywhere- curled up alongside people on their couches, lying under tables while their owners ate. People crouched to protect their dogs during a bombing. It was so deeply sad. When a baby was finally born, it was if the world stopped- people wept and crossed themselves when they saw her, and for a moment, birth was treasured as the ultimate gift. It struck me that that must be how God intended for us to view birth and children all along. If you haven't seen this movie, you should.

Hey Deb, love the new blog! We watched that movie last week. It was moving and so sad. One of the most violent movies I've seen in awhile, especially since it wasn't a war movie. Yeah, it was rough.
I'll discuss it with you! The movie made me cry like a little baby. It was so difficult to watch, but I loved its critique on society. Reminded me of 28 Days Later a little bit. The part where they had to cross from building to building with people shooting at them reminded me of a lot of nightmares I have.
