My stomach bug is gone. Hooray! Just in time for the dinner party. Last night, Bryan and I scurried around the condo, straightening up stuff, moving furniture, etc. to make sure the place looks nice. I'm making a Rachael Ray recipe out of a cookbook I got as a wedding present: hot buffalo chicken sandwiches, veggies and stuffed baked potatoes. For dessert, I'm making this killer sorbet champagne thing, also a Rachael Ray recipe, that is simply amazing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not obsessed with Rachael Ray. In fact, some of her recipes don't quite suit my tastes, but most of them are fun and fairly easy to prepare, which is what I was shooting for with this dinner. So, wish me luck.
My other weekend project is to finally organize our closet and move some of my junk out of my parent's house. I'm sure they're ready to have my giant wedding dress off of their love seat. Yeah, yeah, I'm sure I should've had it preserved by now, but whatever.
I'm also meeting my coaching bud, Lauren, for a little drill team planning meeting. We're working on setting our budget for the year, planning choreography, etc. I find that I really love to plan and organize. In fact, strategic planning is one of my stronger suits at work, too. I'm not quite as good as implementing... oh well.
Have a wonderful weekend!
