Friday's dinner party was successful. The potatoes were a huge hit with the menfolk. I particularly enjoyed the dessert. Warning: if you try the recipe, limit yourself to one. Two is too many!

I bought Bryan's birthday present yesterday. I fit into the box with room to spare. We took a picture, but since I never get around to posting pictures, you'll probably never see it.

A bird flew into our bedroom this morning! We slept with the balcony door cracked to let in a little cool air last night, and I woke this morning to a sound in the room. I looked up, and a little brown fellow was perched on the dresser. He eyeballed me nervously as I got up , then flew back outside. I slid the balcony door shut, and he sat there looking up at me like he wanted back in the house!
