We had our first drill team board meeting last night. I think it went pretty well. We set our budget for the year and other things of that nature. I kept thinking how expensive it is to be on the team, and yet like everything else, more money in the input equals a better end product.

We have our first team practice tonight. I'm looking forward to getting to know the girls. Last night, I was thinking about coaching and why I enjoy it so much, and also about the coaches and teachers I had and how much they impacted my life. I sincerely hope to pass on my love of dance to these girls the way others did for me.

In married life news, Bryan organized our closet while I was gone last night. When I got home, he was knee deep in clothes and boxes and bags. He grumbled a quick "you owe me" and kept moving. We are getting very close to having the place in perfect running order!
