Graduation Weekend is complete. My quest for a masters degree is officially over. Even though I've been finished with classes since March, seeing my name in that program and getting my hood made it feel real. Like "Ha! You've given me the degree and now you can't take it back!"

On Saturday, Bryan let me have my way about everything, which involved buying me my favorite brand of bottled water (Fiji), my favorite brand of tequila for margaritas (Sauza Hornitos), and letting me go to sleep in the big, comfy hotel bed at 10:00 pm instead of prowling around Bricktown all night.

I'm going to be honest and admit that Bryan and I had a somewhat difficult weekend, specifically on Friday, and I think his dad was afraid at one point that we might come to blows, but goshdarnit, I love my husband and with Christ's example, we're going to keep trying. Bryan, in case you ever have a break from your stressful job, I hope you read this and know how much I love you and appreciate all the little things, like the way you let me sleep like a log for ten hours, or the way you pick out the expensive water because you know I like the way the bottle looks.

By the way, I can't believe it's already the second week of May! Holy cow. It's going to be summer soon. I've got a busy week ahead. Oh, I'd like to give a shout out to my brother-in-law Scott, who just finished his Parm-D. Way to go, bro!

Also of note is the weather in Tulsa right now. Holy cow, it's raining and thundering like crazy! Last night, Bryan and I had dinner at Los Cabos, the best place to get queso in the world. While we were dining al fresco, it started thundering and lighting and people started rushing in to the restaurant or off to their cars. Not me, though. I felt like standing in the cool rain. After convincing Bryan to join me, we played in the puddles and rain until we were soaked. It was deeply refreshing.

Have a nice Monday.
