Wow, I feel like an old lady today. So, we battled the tweens (no offense, any of you) last night to see Harry Potter. It was worth it, and at the time, it made me feel very young at heart. My Bryan almost missed the show because he fell asleep at our condo while the rest of us braved the line for two hours.

Then, I had to get up at 6:30 am to go to the hospital for my dad's surgery. I slept while we were in the waiting room. Once we got the all clear from the surgeon, I announced that I had to get my butt to work. My mom and sister looked at me, concerned, and asked if I wanted to borrow any of their makeup before I went in. So here's the deal- I own lots of pretty makeup, but I find that I go through phases when I'd rather not wear any. I often feel that way in the summer time. When I explained that I am currently in one of my no makeup phases, Beth looked horrified, and then giggled nervously, and suggested I use Mom's concealer too.

So, am I completely abnormal here? Or am I just kind of lazy? I like to consider myself a bit of a naturalist. I've never been the type to spend fifteen minutes on make up in the morning. I also think I look alright without it. But, maybe I'm weird and I need to start acting like a grown-up woman. Sounds tedious.

Anyway, my Dad came through his surgery just fine. And I really want a nap. TTFN!

re makeup If paint an old barn it still looks like an old barn with sagging shutters and a dilapidated look with nice paint. The only question si do you have sagging shutters. any mouse

Thanks, any mouse! I like your approach- take care of the barn first, worry less about the paint!

Hahaha! I do the exact same thing, especially in the summer like you said. I don't think you need make-up, and I think I'm still a young barn that doesn't require as much paint. I did however, put on concealer this morning. I needed to conceal the bags from lack of sleep :)
