To commemorate Thanksgiving 2007, I wanted to make a list of all the things I’m thankful for. I am thankful for a lot of things, though, so I thought I’d narrow it down to the things I’m most thankful for in the year 2007. And they are:
- I’m thankful that in March, (almost eight months ago!) I finally got to marry my college sweetheart and life-long friend, Bryan.
- I’m thankful that all my wedding-related prayers were answered, which included requests for good weather, safety during our honeymoon, and that my skin wouldn’t get blotchy during the ceremony and ruin all our pictures.
- I’m thankful that Bryan and I have a nice little place to live, with low rent and in a nice location, and that currently, all our appliances are working.
- I’m thankful that the two family members we lost this year are in heaven with Christ now, and I have the comfort of knowing I’ll see them again.
- I’m thankful for my great family, and especially the way they’ve all supported me this year through my major life transitions. Specifically, Mom, thanks for being my best friend and teaching me to cook. Daddy, thank you for treasuring me the way you do and for teaching me about love. Richard, thanks for being the best big brother in the world and for moving all those darn tables for my wedding reception. Jen, thanks for always being the life of the party- we miss you when you’re not there. Bee, thanks for being the wonderful, lovable nut you are, with all your little pets and idiosyncrasies- I wouldn’t change a thing about you- and for hosting everything at your new house this year.
- I’m thankful that I’m finished with college!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amen.
- I’m thankful for the sweet girls I get to coach on drill team and for the dear friends I get to coach with.
- I’m thankful that my fellow coaches are mommies and they get to teach me all about motherhood.
- I’m thankful that I have a job I really like (most days), and all the fun fringe benefits of working for a ballet company.
- Lastly, I’m thankful that the first 8 months of my marriage have been relatively painless and mostly very fun. And Bryan, now that I know what living with you is like, I wouldn’t change a thing. I love you to pieces.

I shouldn't have read this before I posted because I was going to do the same. But I guess that's what Thanksgiving is about, right?
You write so much better than I do! I'm glad you love me even though I am a nut. Happy Thanksgiving.
