Hello, and happy Thursday! I keep thinking it's Friday, though... I almost emailed my coworkers a little TGIF email but stopped in time. Silly me!

Well, I think the Lord answered my prayers and gave me a little peace and quiet and calm this week. I'm sure I needed it to prepare for state competition this weekend! I'm so excited to see all my friends, though, that I don't mind the extra work.

Speaking of friends, that's another thing the Lord has helped me out with lately. A couple months ago, I was feeling a bit like an 8th grader at a new school... missing my Tulsa friends and family terribly and no one here in OKC to hang out with other than Bryan's friends, who, don't get me wrong, are all very wonderful people and I'm blessed for their companionship. But I didn't feel like I had any of my own friends... you know, gal pals. I'm pleased to say that I've met some ladies that volunteer with the youth at LifeChurch that I like a lot, and Bryan's former boss and his wife and child are moving about a mile away from us next week! Plus, two of our old, dear friends just moved back to Oklahoma from New Mexico. So, I'm very thankful that I no longer feel like the awkward new girl here.
