Well, I took care of almost all my Christmas shopping yesterday, thanks to Cyber Monday. Bryan looked like he felt actual, physical pain when we made our purchases...

In the spirit of Oprah, here's a free holiday tidbit just for you:

Mom's Famous Garlic Cheese Log Recipe

8oz cream cheese, room temperature
8oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 clove garlic, finely grated
Handful of walnut pieces, optional
Chili powder

Wearing a pair of latex gloves, mush first four ingredients together until well blended. You could use a food processor to do this, but it's awfully fun to squish all that cheese together. Shape cheese mixture into a log. Sprinkle chili powder liberally onto wax paper, and then coat log with powder. Serve cheese log at room temperature.

I like to make this cheese log in big batches because one log doesn't last long. Happy eating!
