Last night, as I was hurriedly making dinner for Bryan and me before we each went our separate ways for the evening, a mean old migraine snuck up and hit me square in the temples. This was the kind of migraine that used to make me call in sick, take a combination of whatever pain pills we happened to have in the house and hide in bed all day. A year ago, I was getting them so frequently that I had to start taking medication every day to prevent them. It worked, but it was a pain in the rear to take the pills, so a month or so ago, my doctor agreed that I could try and go off them.

So there I was last night, blithely making a light version of sweet and sour pork when I was waylaid by that evil booger. I was supposed to go to church, but instead I filled the bath tub with hot water, turned out all the lights and tried to submerge my head and shoulders and still breathe. I think Bryan was a little hesitant to leave me that way, fearing he'd return from the Thunder game to find me asleep under water! So, I got out, took some meds and went to sleep on our bed with Tino.

I'm fine this morning, but I really hope I don't start getting those awful headaches again! Let's all pray it was a fluke.

Hope it was a fluke, but have you ever seen a chiropractor for them? What causes them? Mine was caused by tension and an unknown dislocated collar bone, and since I've been seeing a chiropractor periodically, I never have them - and no meds! Might me worth a visit to find out if they start coming back.
