Hello, all! I'm back at work after a lovely, lovely weekend. Bryan and I have been so busy since before we moved in November, and not taking as much time to be as romantic as usual, so I threw all my energy into preparing a special Valentine's evening for us. Bryan surprised me with two dozen roses, and when he got home after a long day of work on Saturday, I had a few surprises for him! I made us some delicious crab cakes and arancini, albeit frozen ones, which we enjoyed with champagne. For our dinner, we had Caesar salad with home-made dressing and croutons, fillet Mignon with horseradish cream sauce and sauteed shrimp. The grand finale was home-made tiramisu. I am pleased to report that I didn't over-cook the fillets, which I'm known to do, and Bryan loved the desert. It was so nice to spend an entire evening celebrating our love for each other, and we both agreed we needed to do it much more often.

So with all that food, you might be wondering how Weight Watchers is going... and it's going super! To date, I have lost 15.4 lbs. When I logged my weight this morning, a message came up that warned after the first 3 weeks, you're not supposed to lose more than 2 lbs a week. My weight loss has averaged about 3 lbs per week, and I've taken a few days off in the last week or so... so that tells me that I was just out of control before! I am definitely taking a long -term approach with this weight loss, but when you have a lot to lose, I guess it just comes off quickly at first. My goal is 25 more lbs, in case anyone wants to know. I imagine that will take me a few months to accomplish. I tend to associate my weight with certain periods of my life, and when I reach my long-term goal, that will put a bit under my wedding-era weight. So, wish me continued luck!

Have a wonderful week.
