All of my culinary attempts were successful this weekend, but the star was undoubtedly the Smoky Beef Tacos. Check out this recipe and be sure to make the toppings that go with it. I will be making it again very soon!

So, I have a work event here in OKC tomorrow night. I did my usual trying-to-decide-what-to-wear routine, and even had to ask Beth to mail me a dress she borrowed and then borrowed another dress from Jennifer, but nothing seemed to look right for the occasion. (Don't be mad, Beth! I'll pay you back for the shipping cost). Bryan watched me try on about five outfits, assuring me that they looked great and no, I didn't need to lose another ten pounds for them to fit right, but then conceded to let me go shopping as part of an early birthday gift. I went to the mall and found a great little dress on sale at BR (that is inexplicably absent from their website), so now I'll be kitted out in style for my event. Relief!
