February is coming to and end. It was a long month of blizzards, frigid cold, snow days and a fun visit from an old friend.
The month of March always makes me happy, excited and hopeful. Probably because it's the harbinger of spring, my birthday month and my wedding anniversary month. You all know about my thing for birthday cake...
When I was trying to decide what to wear today, I tried on a short-sleeved, white-ruffled blouse that I bought for my honeymoon four years ago. While it didn't look right under my wintry cardigan, I can't wait to pull it out next month when the weather is warm enough. Also, it reminded me of wedding cake.
As an employee of a university, I am once again included in that great tradition of students and educators, spring break! I get two days off work instead of five, but I will gladly take it. I'm planning an extended stay in Tulsa for some rest and relaxation.
Although the exact plans change frequently, my father-in-law will be moving back out on his own sometime in March. Bryan and I are excited to have the house to ourselves once again and I can resume my normal habit of walking around sans clothing.
Even more exciting is the fact that in April, we will accomplish our financial goal of paying off our two credit cards! The Lord has provided in miraculous ways to help us reach this state of financial independence and we are grateful to Bryan's dad for being a renter for the past few months.
This spring will also bring the birth of my newest niece, Miss Mia June Hughes!
Lots of things to look forward to!
