July! How is it July already? It is, though.

So far this summer, Bryan and I went on our amazing tropical vacation and then I had another surgery. Whomp whomp. The vacation was incredible- so beautiful, fun and relaxing. Then, I didn't feel like making a big to-do over this surgery as it was really a simple out patient procedure, but this is the sixth one and I'm now on doctor number five. This doctor is a urogynecologist that I was referred to to continue the treatment plan created for me in Michigan. Only he didn't want to repeat the procedure I had in Michigan; instead, he wanted to try injections with Botox instead of a steroid. Insert joke here about vaginal Botox injections please.

So, I had the injections under general anesthesia. Two weeks later, the doctor performed more externally along my left hip and groin area. I'm having a lot of pain right now from compressed nerves in my pelvis, but I'm told that is normal and should go away soon. Also, I was told to try avoid sitting as that compresses the nerves more. Try to do an office job without sitting, by the way. Also, another round of physical therapy with a specialist has been ordered as well as a consultation with a pain management doctor. My pelvis is that high maintenance.

Last week, we celebrated Bryan's 29th birthday. I made this utterly ridiculous ice cream cake for him that we devoured in two days. Don't judge us... it was chocolate with salted caramel. In a few weeks, Bryan and I will have been dating and married for a combined total of ten years. Wild! I'm so thankful for that guy. God really knew what He was doing when He put us in homeroom together in Miss Yielding's class back in the fourth grade.

Now, we're just trying to enjoy the rest of the summer and hoping things stay uneventful. We'll see how that goes!
