So, I'd been saving up this yummy golden vanilla cake and frosting mix forever and I finally decided to make it and display it on this pretty, new cake plate. As I was making the frosting, I noticed it tasted a little funny... kind of waxy and off. I thought maybe it was just me and went ahead and frosted the cake. When Bryan got home, I cut him a slice, and he agreed- the frosting was weird. I blame it on my Crisco. Boo.
I'm off to Tulsa tonight for a weekend of Don Quixote. It's the first ballet of the season, so that means a Gala and lots of excitement. And then Monday off!
Still no news of Samson.

Did you use butter flavored crisco? That will make a big difference. See you in Tulsa!
